Royalty Showdown Feedback

Share your experience with us to help shape future events.

UPDATED June 1, 2017

We appreciate all of the feedback you've provided us in regards to the Royalty Showdown. Based on the responses we've received, we're moving forward with an action plan that will address issues some players saw during Royalty Showdown matches and improve online tournaments for all in the future.

Queueing

Some Royalty Showdown competitors saw an issue that queued them into a regular Solo match instead of the Royalty Showdown match they had selected to join. We have reproduced this bug internally and a fix is underway - once this fix is published, it will benefit any players currently participating in Hosted Games.

Those competitors that we've determined have encountered this issue will be automatically invited to participate in the next Showdown (no qualification necessary). More details on the future Showdown will be announced at a later date.

Other Issues

There were a few instances where competitors either crashed during a Royalty Showdown match, or became stuck in or on a vehicle or world object.

  • A fix for the crash was published shortly after the final match of the North America Royalty Showdown on May 25, 2017.
  • A fix for the issue where players can occasionally become stuck in or on a vehicle or world object is currently underway and we expect to publish this fix as soon as it is resolved.

Thank you again to all of the competitors and viewers who made the Royalty Showdown an amazing global event. Be sure to check out the final results here, and let us know if you have any additional feedback on Twitter, Discord, or Reddit.

-----

Thank you for joining us for the first ever Royalty Showdown, a global online tournament featuring some of the very best players in H1Z1. There were over 750 competitors who participated, and the matches were phenomenal to watch.

We strive to create the most fun for the most players possible, so we were truly saddened to hear that some players ran into issues during the Royalty Showdown matches.

To address the situation, we assembled a strike team comprised of development, esports, community, and customer service representatives, and we asked players who encountered any issues to create a ticket detailing their experience. Our team evaluated player feedback, created an action plan, and is currently responding to all tickets.

We appreciate you providing your feedback, and thank you for your continued support as we look to shape the future of competition in H1Z1.
